About Stuart Alexander
Stuart was inspired by the dance floor response of Nutbush City Limits when he attended a Radio One Roadshow way back in 1971 and in that moment he decided that he wanted to be a DJ. Fast forward to 1978 and Stuart began his 45 year career as a DJ in a good old fashioned Cabaret Nightclub where he says he learned by baptism of fire on how to entertain 1000 people every night. Stuart also worked extensively on the mobile circuit in central Scotland for several years before progressing to Night Clubs.
Over the following decades Stuart worked extensively in the nightclub scene in Scotland and pioneered the introduction of R&B and Hip Hop into the mainstream with his self promoting club The Grind club night in Edinburgh. Moving into the corporate and Wedding in the late 90’s Stuart carved a niche for being one of “In demand” DJ’s for the corporate and Wedding market. When the pandemic struck in 2020 Stuart joined the KL Radio team and now continues to enjoy presenting 3 shows per week on Salt Towns' Radio.
These shows are Spin The Wheel /Wheel Of Fortune which broadcasts every Thursday from 7-9pm Steppin Out every Friday from 7-9 and Snook Haven Country every Sunday from 5-7pm
