About Paul Charles
Paul Charles brings to Salt Towns’ Radio a unique hybrid of Steve Wright, John Peel and Alan Partridge but with decent tunes! Paul has been DJ-ing (playing his favourite songs and talking in between them!) since September 2023. Paul’s formative years were spent taping the charts on a TDK D-90 and cursing the DJs for talking over the music and now regularly commits that cardinal sin! Paul’s has two claims to fame, one he once bumped into actual George Michael at Leigh Delamere services in 1983 and two he used to go to school with a Celebrity Chef.
Paul is lover of high-art, 14th century Chinese literature and sarcasm. The Paul Charles Radio Show brings an eclectic mix of music from the past and up to the present day replete with banter, features and chaos! From Blondie to Bowie and Abba to ZZ Top. Go on give it a whirl your ears deserve it!
