About Chris Ironside
Im Chris Ironside and I present The Weekend Wakeup. I’ve always loved music and radio, from an early age when access to equipment was non existent, I used to present a top 40 show in my bedroom using 2 tape recorders and songs taped off the radio. I remember getting my first ever album on cassette (the original Now ). I thought it was the best thing ever!!!! I collected them all until 1995 when they were stolen from my pea green Vauxhall Nova !!!! My favourite band….Fleetwood Mac…. I also have a big passion for cheesey pop and novelty tunes…..you’ll often hear these on the show….
